Pharmacy

I have had some stomach problems since my trip to Saudi, so I decided today to go to the pharmacy and see if they could give me something to help me out. It occurred to me while I was there that it is a truly odd situation to go to a pharmacy here.

At home I go to the doctor and tell the doctor that I have diarrhea and he gives me a not to give to the pharmacist, pay the pharmacist for the medication and walk away. The pharmacist may know that I have loose bowels, but I never have to tell him that.

Here I go straight to the pharmacy, tell the pharmacist I have diarrhea and he give me medicine and I go. It all seems to me like going to King Soopers, telling the stock boy that I have diarrhea so he can point me to the Pepto-Bismal.
