I just finished watching Gunner Palace and would say that it is an ok movie to watch if you have time. I don't think that it was anything spectacular or out of the ordinary as far as opinions about the United States in Iraq goes. The one thing I would say about the way the film was put together is that it really shows the humanity of the soliders. The movie also gives a glimse into the good things that are happening in Iraq vs. the news which only reports when someone dies or something bad happens. I think I first heard of this movie from Kottke.

One of the soliders is from Colorado and makes a pretty funny anaology about the building, or reconstruction, of a highway overpass and the rebuilding, reconstruction, of Iraq.
